Samsung has started rolling out the latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for Galaxy Note 3 SM-N900 and SM-N9005 in several countries, following its debut release of each variant for specific regions. In other words, both the Exynos and the Snapdragon variants are now getting the new KitKat update in several regions including India, Thailand, Russia, South Korea, Switzerland and others
As SamMobile reports, the new KitKat update weighs about 380MB in size while offering all quintessential features such as white status bar icons, reduced memory usage, integrated wireless printing support and improved keyboard. Furthermore, the update is downloadable via Over-The-Air (OTA) as well as through Samsung KIES.
As the update is being rolled out in phases, it may take some time before it is accessible on your device. However, discerning users may check for regular updates manually via Settings > About phone > Software updates menu to stay updated with the latest KitKat firmware.
For some reason if you are unable to access the update over KIES or OTA then you may follow our step-by-step guide posted here to install the same manually. Those who want to download the latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat firmware for their device may click on the appropriate download links below :
